What is faith?
In the dictionary, faith is the experience of the one who trusts in the other person. But in the sense of word, our faith in Christ can be experienced in 4 levels
1. Salvation through faith
2. Faith in the promises
3. Faith in the necessities
4. faith(Belief in the hope
Paul has defined the faith as the 2 strong trust in Christ.
Hebrews 11: 1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.1.The surety of the things hoped for
2. The surety of things that are not seen
We have many things in this world. But there is no guarantee that we will get everything we hope or if got whether it will sustain or not.But what we have seen in Hebrews 11: 1 is heavenly and also it is sure. It brings us comfort, hope, happiness, and care in all our troubles, sickness, sorrow, and hardships not only in this world. But also we can reign with our saviour Lord for ever and ever in heaven.
But this blessed promises are only for His saints, then how can you be His saints?Lets see.
1. Salvation through faith
What is salvation?
Salvation is the rescue from eternal death and punishment.
Why there is a need for salvation ?
Because of Adam's transgression, sin entered the world and reigned in it.
Romans 5:12
Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin;and so death passed upon all men for that all have sinned
So when sin subheaded us,we became enemies against God and worthy of eternal death.
Ephesians 2: 1-3,12
1.And you hath quickened,who were dead in tresspasses and sins;2.Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world,according to the prince of the power of the air,the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
12.That at that time ye were without Christ,being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel,and strangers from the covenants of promise,having no hope,and without God in the world.
Isaiah 53: 6
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way;and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Romans 5:12

Our condition before saving
1.All we like sheep have gone astray.
2. Each one of us turned to his own way.
3. We are judged for eternal death.
4. We are disobedient to God.
5. He walked on the way of the prince of this world.(satan)
6. We were children of wrath
7. We were withtout Christ.
8. We were cut off from any part in the Israels right as a nation.
9. We have no part in Gods agreement.
10. We have no hope.
11. We were dead in trespasses and sins.
12. We are worthy of judgment.
So there is need for salvation.
How is the way to salvation opened?
The Father sent his only-begotten Son into the world to save the mankind from their sinful nature.
1 John 4: 14,15
14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
1 Peter 2: 22,24
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
John the baptist told the world. The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (John 1:29)
Look at the word ."the Sin of the world"
Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world.He didn't came to establish christianity or as a christian God.Even He didn't call anybody "Christian"He came to save the world from the bondage of sin.There is no any record in the Bible that Christs birthday should be celebrated as a Christmas or Christ born on December 25th.The purpose of his incarnation was to save the humanity from sin and to give the way to justification for those who believe in Him.
God opened the way of salvation through " Lord Jesus Christ".
Who has the right to save?
It is surely Jesus Christ.
Acts 4:12
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.The Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to forgiveness. He has the power to forgive sins.
Who gets salvation?
Only if you were born again will get salvation.how a person can be born for the second time?Nicodemos asked the same question.
What did Jesus answer?
John 3: 1-21
1.There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
"Born Again" means, Here Jesus is mentioning about the spiritual birth of a person.Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who took away the sin of the world on the cross.What should I do to be saved?
Let's look at the two passages.
John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name
Only if you believe in the Son of God, then only you will become his sons and daughters
Romans 3:25
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
That means no one will save you. Only your faith is the basis
Romans 10: 9,10
Acknowledge that you are a sinner,Believe thatJesus died on the cross for your sin,on the third day He rose up,sat at the right side of the Father and interceeding for you and me,and if thou shalt confess with thy mouth that Jesus Christ is my saviour and Lord then you will be saved,or born again.
Blessings of Salvation through Faith
1. We will receive everlasting life.(John 3:16.For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.)
2. We are not condemned (Romans 8: 1) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
4. We have peace with God (Romans 5: 1) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
5. We are able to boast in the glory of God (Romans 5: 2)By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
6. We can boast in our sufferings (Romans 5: 3,4) 3.And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
7. We have received the privilege of being holy.
(1 Peter 2: 9) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light
8. We are justified (Romans 5: 1) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
9. We have become God's chosen people.
(1 Peter 2: 9) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light
10. We have been sealed with the Holy Spirit and made a special people( Ephesians 1: 13,14 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory..)
11. We are fellow citizen with the saints(Ephesians 2: 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God:)
12.We are members of Gods family(Ephesians 2: 19) Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God
